Best Foundations For Normal/Oily Skin
If you’re like most people, you might go into Sephora, Ulta, or the Drugstore and you don’t know where to begin. Especially when it comes to foundations. Well, I’m here to take some of that guess-work out for you! I am self & family diagnosed makeup addict (lol) so when it comes to makeup, I probably know about it! I have 7 foundations below that I adore, all for different reasons, and I’m gonna let you know why! Before you go on, I want to say that I have normal to slightly oily-prone skin (mainly in my T-zone). If you have dry skin, you probably won’t love all of these, but skim through and you might find one that may click with you and your skin!
DRUGSTORE FOUNDATION FAVORITES
Maybelline “SuperStay”
SKIN TYPES: All Skin Types.
BEST APPLIED WITH: Beauty Blender (more natural finish) | Brush (more coverage)
Wow. That’s what this foundation makes me say EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I am completely obsessed with this product, and I’m still in shock with how good it performs against some of my really high-end products. It has amazing coverage and when I wear it, my skin looks like skin. The other day my boyfriend told me how nice my makeup (skin specifically) looked, and this is what I was wearing! It does oxidize a bit, so I would play around with the shades and maybe go a shade lighter than you might think you are (I’m between 120-130 right now w/o self-tanner).
L’Oreal “Pro-Glow”
SKIN TYPES: Normal to Dry & Mature
BEST APPLIED WITH: Beauty Blender (most even & natural coverage)
Okay, this one is gold. This applies like a dream and looks seriously beautiful on the skin. Such a healthy glow and natural radiance. I DO have to really set this with powder and watch my skin to blot throughout the day, probably more than my dry friends will need too, but I don’t even care because this makes your skin look so healthy and dewy! I think if you have more mature skin, you will love this one. If you mix this in with moisturizer, you can apply this like a BB Cream, and you will have such a beautiful even glow!
HIGHER END FOUNDATION FAVORITES
Fenty Beauty Foundation
SKIN TYPES: Normal to Oily

Ok. If you want some Matte, full-coverage, flawless-ness then this is it. If you are dry, you will not like this. But if you are on the more normal to oily side, this foundation will be amazing for you. When I wear this foundation, I never have to wonder if I need to touch up or blot certain areas. This stuff is locked-in for the whole day and truly stays looking amazing. I make sure I’m good and moisturized before applying, and then I’m ready for a flawless makeup day! I recommend using a pore-filling primer before applying this. When I add that primer first, I’m telling you my skin looks like a baby’s butt lol. Who doesn’t want that!?
Dior “Forever” Foundation

Now this foundation actually was created in Heaven. I’m pretty certain. If you want to look matte, but you want your skin to look like actual baby smooth skin, then this is the foundation for you. If I had to pick a foundation to wear on my wedding day, this would be it. That’s how much I love it!I don’t know what the heck is in this stuff, but it truly is skin-perfecting. It’s incredible! It’s definitely a splurge and one of the priciest foundations I own, but it is absolutely worth every penny.
Too Faced “Born This Way”
SKIN TYPES: All Skin Types
BEST APPLIED WITH: Beauty Blender
This foundation is amazing. It’s full-coverage, but it can absolutely be applied to look incredibly natural and like your skin was, as it was so aptly named, Born This Way. This is the foundation that I would count on when I was modeling frequently and would have long photoshoots that I knew I needed to look great for really long hours. It’s on the more matte side, but never have I felt dry or cakey when wearing this. Just a beautiful foundation!
NARS “Radiant All-Day”
SKIN TYPES: All Skin Types (However, if you are really oily, you won’t like this)
BEST APPLIED WITH: Beauty Blender
If you want your skin to LOOK LIKE ACTUAL SKIN, this is your foundation. When NARS came out with this, I knew I would love it because I pretty much love all the things they ever do lol, but I knew I had to get my hands on this ASAP. This stuff literally looks like you are wearing nothing. I will say it’s more light to medium coverage (you can probably build it up more) so if you have things to cover up, you won’t be in love with this. But I am completely obsessed with this and how it makes my skin look like my skin but better. IN LOVE!
NARS “Sheer Glow”

BEST APPLIED WITH: Beauty Blender
Last but definitely not least is my go-to, day-1 foundation. This foundation is one that I have been using for years and I always know I can count on it to make me look flawless. It is the perfect amount of dewy+matte and truly makes my skin look so good no matter what. I have this foundation is multiple colors and have re-purchased it multiple times because it’s THAT GOOD. Trust me, there’s nothing not to love about this stuff. You need it.
